Terms of Service
Assumption of Risk
I hereby assume all risks associated with participating in any activities connected with this event, including but not limited to risks arising from negligence, carelessness, defective equipment or property, or other circumstances that may occur during participation.
Participation in retreat activities is voluntary. I understand that I am not required to participate in any activity that makes me uncomfortable and may decline participation at any time.
I certify that I am physically able to participate in the activities I choose to engage in and accept full responsibility for my participation.
Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in this retreat, I hereby release, waive, and discharge from liability any and all claims for injury, illness, death, property damage, theft, or other loss that may occur during participation in the retreat or while traveling to and from the retreat.
This release applies to the following entities and individuals:
Hineni: A Gathering Ministry
Hi Point Ranch
GKB Cattle, its owners, employees, and agents
Retreat facilitators, volunteers, servers, representatives, and organizers
This release includes liability resulting from the negligence of the released parties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hineni: A Gathering Ministry, Hi Point Ranch, GKB Cattle, and all related employees, volunteers, representatives, and facilitators from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from my participation in this retreat.
Medical Consent
In the event of injury, accident, or illness during the retreat, I authorize event organizers to obtain medical treatment deemed necessary.
I acknowledge that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.
Emergency Contact
Participants may be asked to provide an emergency contact. I authorize retreat organizers to contact my designated emergency contact if necessary.
Photography and Media Release
I understand that photographs, video, or recordings may be taken during the retreat.
By participating, I grant permission for my image, likeness, or voice to be used by Hineni: A Gathering Ministry for legitimate promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.
Facility Policies
Participants acknowledge and agree to comply with the policies of Hi Point Ranch, including:
Hi Point Ranch is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free facility.
Participants may bring prescription medications for which they have a valid prescription as well as standard over the counter medications.
Hi Point Ranch is a burn free facility. No fires may be lit anywhere on the ranch premises at any time.
Payment Terms
By registering for a retreat, participants reserve one of a limited number of available spaces.
Three day retreats require full payment at the time of registration.
Pilgrimages require a nonrefundable deposit followed by two additional payments due on or before the specified due dates.
Cancellation Policy for Three Day Retreats
If cancellation is necessary, the following refund policy applies:
If cancellation occurs at least 30 days before the retreat start date, a $300 refund will be issued.
No refunds can be issued less than two weeks before the retreat.
Pilgrimage Cancellation Policy
Because lodging is limited and financial commitments must be made well in advance, the following policy applies:
The $500 deposit is nonrefundable.
If cancellation occurs one year prior to the pilgrimage, participants will receive a refund of all additional payments made minus the $500 nonrefundable deposit.
If cancellation occurs six months prior to the pilgrimage, participants will receive fifty percent of payments made minus the $500 nonrefundable deposit.
No refunds can be issued after the six month prior date.
Organizer Cancellation
If Hineni: A Gathering Ministry must cancel a retreat or pilgrimage for any reason, all payments received will be refunded in full.
Travel Insurance
Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance for pilgrimages to protect their retreat or pilgrimage investment in the event of illness, travel disruption, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Force Majeure
Hineni: A Gathering Ministry shall not be held responsible for cancellations or changes caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, travel disruptions, public health emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
Communications Consent
By submitting a registration form, I consent to receive email and SMS communications from Hineni: A Gathering Ministry regarding retreat information, updates, and future events. Message and data rates may apply. Participants may opt out at any time.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed and interpreted according to the laws of the State of Texas.
Agreement
By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
