Taste & See: A Beginner’s Christian Contemplative Prayer Retreat in Texas | September 18–20, 2026
 

Taste & See is a Christian contemplative prayer retreat for beginners and experienced contemplatives who long to slow down, reconnect with God, and develop a more sustainable life of prayer. Held at Hi Point Ranch in Desdemona, Texas, this small-group weekend introduces practices including Lectio Divina, Breath Prayer, Centering Prayer, Examen, Imaginative Prayer, Body Prayer, Prayer Walking, Welcoming Prayer, and Loving-Kindness Prayer. Through guided practice, silence, soulful worship, journaling, nature, nourishing meals, and trusted community, retreatants are invited to rest from hurried and fragmented living and become more grounded in the presence and love of Christ. No previous experience with contemplative prayer is required.

Retreat cost is $375. 

We will gather at the Hi Point Ranch from 3pm on Friday until 2:30pm Sunday.
